Our Story

Hey there!

My name is Hayley and I live in Central Queensland on a Beef Cattle Station with my husband and 2 children. We love our life on the land, and I don't think I could ever see us living anywhere else. The wide-open spaces are just too good and picturesque! Especially while raising 2 little ones.

In 2019 whilst I was 32 weeks pregnant with my daughter, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She had to be delivered early as I need to start chemotherapy straight away. Talk about a whirl wind time!

Whilst I was undergoing 6 months' worth of treatment I had so much time to think, and it cemented into me that life can be cut short at any time, so you need to live life the way YOU want and DO NOT hold back.

During this time, I had this deep feeling inside me that I wanted to create something that as a mother I struggled to find here in Australia.

Fast forward 3 years of craziness of a little one and then falling pregnant I finally dug deep enough to work out what it was I wanted to do. This is when the idea of Brigalow Kids was born.

Over the past 3 years I have had so much trouble trying to find quality children's jeans that fit my daughter properly in the waist and in length. I have never came across the perfect pair so I decided well that's it I am going to design my own! From then on the ideas began to flow.

Our jeans here at Brigalow Kids are mindfully designed and manufactured in Australia for the typical Aussie Bush Kid.

These jeans are made with extra length to cover their boots. They come in 2 different lengths to cater for the kiddies that have a little waist but long legs. 

These jeans are made to the highest of quality and the durability of them means you can hand them down.

How I came about the name Brigalow Kids is pretty simple really. The area that we live in is well known for being a part of the "Brigalow Scheme" and being a children's label 'Kids" just seemed like the right fit.
